Career and memories

Heya ho...

life is too complicated for me.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Career:
  • That interview with an advertising agency, were R. & M.-H. ware living, I was talking about earlier was CANCELLED cause they found someone for the job. I was so pissed, but still didnt write them a bitchy email, cause I am a good girl..but thats not my final decision...I am still mad.
  • Applied for DANONE, which is close to where Q. is living. No response yet - well, sent the application yesterday ;)
  • Inteview with Kraft today. Went pretty well, besides a couple mistakes I made. Hope that they still are intersted...*sigh*. I really, really, really want that ONE job!!!
Memories:

A friend of mine from Canada started the following post:
What have you learnt from @?

Today I look back on 9 years as an active @er (well, on an off). Currently I just matched another trainee and am hopefully going on another @ traineeship (which will DEFINATELY be my last @ assignment ;)

So, now that I am old (and wise?)...I want to share what I learned:

1. Fight for what you believe in. Never give up your hopes and ideals. Even if there are obstacles on the way, never lose focus. I learnt that even as a newie LCP one can get a hell of a lot done.

2. @ taught me that I will never stop learning. I still meet trainees from countries I have never been too and permanently gain new insights in different cultures.

3. @ also taught me about love (no, our core competence IS NOT match-making ;) and friendship, and that @ makes the world really small...
I started emailing Juanita - who started this post way before I met her and then one day (after I already had been in Canada for 3 months) I met her in person at the Winter NC in Calgary. Man, that was awesome!

4. That every one of us can change a life. I will never forget the special moments with Roman (US/Dominican Repulic), Rachel (UK), Oughzan (Turkey), Sheila (Portugal), Betul (Turkey). Or "my trainees" Pascal (Switzerland) and Lanai (USA). And also not the emails from "my SNs" (who were in one of my workshops) from their host countries.

I am grateful for 9 wonderful years. I was crushed, but I was also at the top of the world. Its like @ is the ONE big passion & love that will last forever. Thank you, Di, for changing my life!
